Joss Powder

White joss powder, also known as tabu powder or makko powder, is a natural ingredient derived from the bark of certain trees, particularly trees belonging to the Litsea and Machilus genera. This powder is commonly used in incense and mosquito and is one of the most popular wood incense binders in the world. It is economical and works well for many incense blends. In many cases, joss powder can be used to replace tabu-no-ki in a 1:1 ratio.
